HR operations - You’ll work in a designated area of the business and become the expert HR support for those colleagues. A hugely diverse range of opportunities and experience are what you’ll get in this team, as our business is so broad in terms of our areas of work, it’s the old cliché ‘no two days are the same’ (but they really aren’t!). Our business partners are passionate, empowered HR professionals who offer support whilst also being supported themselves, to ensure all colleagues are working in a safe environment with opportunities to progress and develop within the business.

Our highly experienced learning and development team are constantly working to ensure we’re able to offer training and qualifications opportunities for those who are keen to progress. Reward and performance – The team everyone wants to make friends with – we wonder why?! Our dedicated reward and performance team work flexibly to ensure we’re able to cater for the different needs and requirements of the different colleagues we have in our business. What one of our road surfacing colleagues might look for in a benefits package is very different to a finance colleague, and reward and performance are constantly reviewing and tailoring what we offer to our colleagues.
Resourcing - The team you’ll most likely speak to from the business first when you apply for a role with us! Our in-house team of recruitment specialists ensure we attract the bring in the best people for Tarmac. Like our other teams, the resourcing team are heavily embedded in the business, working with hiring managers across the whole of the UK to help manage workforce planning, produce accurate and engaging job adverts, and interview those who make the brilliant decision to apply for our roles.
