We are currently looking for a Plant Supervisor to join our Tarmac team at our Barham Quarry, Suffolk, IP6 0PF. We’re working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.
This is a varied, complex and rewarding position that requires Shovel loader/telehandler/360 excavator experience an advantage, Knowledge of aggregate & asphalt products, Knowledge of Environment and health & safety - safe systems at work, Basic numeracy & literacy skills.
Reporting directly to the Quarry manager & Quarry supervisor you will work as part of the site production team, the plant supervisor will be responsible for the H/S of the plant and ancillary equipment and ensuring the daily tasks are completed, including general site housekeeping and basic maintenance and the safe and efficient operation of mobile (loading shovel) and fixed plant. Other duties will include assisting with site maintenance projects as well as being involved in all aspects of housekeeping on the site. You will need to show a high degree of flexibility within your work along with varying start and finish times.
