What are we looking for?

Be self motivated, focused on the team and able to earn the trust of those that work with them. Experience with Tarmac's Risk assessment and SSOW process (HIRA) and Permit system is preferred but not essential as training can be given. They would be an effective team player that can motivate and inspire other individuals to engage with the company's policies, targets, goals and standards. Be IT/computer literate.

What will I be responsible for?

You will specifically focus on operational tasks including operating the asphalt plants on site primarily mobile plant - including operating dumpers and loading shovels, weighbridge, and day to day maintenance as well as maintaining the highest levels of housekeeping. We would expect the successful candidate to have some knowledge of quarrying, the hazards it brings and a safe understanding of what needs to be done for this process to run efficiently and safely from day to day.

We would expect the successful candidate to be experienced in all these matters as well as being able to effectively integrate into an established team to implement best practice across the site.

You will need to show a high degree of flexibility within your work along with varying start and finish times.

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for being part of a team at a site which produces asphalt products and dry aggregate material for the construction industry. You will operate mobile plant, perform housekeeping/cleaning duties and other associated general duties within the site.
All site teams are expected to take responsibility for their own safety and looking out for their colleagues, ensuring product quality, being fully engaged in continuous improvement and raising the site standards.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate proven experience working within an Industrial, Factory or similar environment. As well as possess good communication skills and have a real desire in developing both maintenance and supervisory skills.

Qualifications:

• Shovel license
• Mobile plant licences
