What are we looking for?
As our ideal Quarry Operative at our Marfield Quarry, you will be a strong team player with a desire to work hard to achieve our targets. You will have a flexible approach to work, additional hours may be required subject to business needs. At times you will be required to work at other sites within the area as required by the business.
The job role is predominately weighbridge/administration duties but includes a variety of mobile plant operation, fixed plant maintenance and site housekeeping. You will also play an important role in assisting with continuous improvement on site and contributing to maximise production.
You would be expected to comply with the Tarmac Safety Management System; ensuring that all site activities carried out are in line with standards and policies. You will support the culture of health and safety on site by ensuring you behave in a safe manner and look out for your fellow team members.
It would be desirable if you have experience of mobile and fixed plant quarrying operations, however, full training is available so we'd be really pleased to hear from you if you have no previous industry experience and can demonstrate your ability to positively contribute to a team, take pride in your work and showcase your determination to succeed.
