We are currently looking for a Restoration Manager to join our team in Land & Natural Resources (Asset Management Team) based at Quorn House, Quorn, Leceicestershire at Tarmac. We’re working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.
This is a varied, complex and rewarding position that requires someone with strong communication and management skills supported by practical experience of financial provisioning & controlling budgets, SHE standards relating to safe working in the quarry environment, restoration techniques including knowledge of soils, quarrying operations and principles of biodiversity and management.
Knowledge & expertise in minerals and land restoration, biodiversity management and current legislation, qualified to degree level in a cognate subject area.
Reporting directly to the National Restoration Manager, The Restoration Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the objectives of the Asset Management Charter through the Operate & Restore elements of the quarry life-cycle. This will involve being accountable for the design and financial provisioning of restoration works at all operational and dormant quarry sites to ensure that Tarmac meets its obligations under the planning permissions and land tenure agreements; to promote biodiversity and sustainable principles and support engagement with regional stakeholders, to support industry best practice through cost effective restoration.
