We are currently looking for a Unit Manager to join our teams at Headon and Exeter at Tarmac. We’re working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of Safety and production on each of the sites. You must be able to demonstrate a good track record for managing safety , health and the environment in similar operations. The successful applicant will have excellent people and leadership skills, a sound technical knowledge of all aspects of sand and gravel and asphalt production , the drive and commitment to pro-actively add value to the business.
Reporting directly to the area Production Manager , the successful applicant will also be responsible for units accounts and budgets , staff developement , audit compliance , (both internal and external) , planning maintenance , shift patterns , production planning and material quality.
