What are we looking for?
To operate a company vehicle for the delivery of ready mixed concrete, meeting the daily requirements of external customers and internal administration. Ensuring high standards of housekeeping and achieving targets in BSI, Safety, Health & Environmental.
What will I be responsible for?
COMPANY HEALTH AND SAFETY
Follow the 16 Life Saving Rules
Follow the Local rules and procedures
Report all near hits & unsafe acts
Ensure the daily checks are carried out and the defect book is filled out correctly and all defects are reported to the Plant Supervisor
Maintain the vehicle in clean and roadworthy condition with daily checks on oils & water levels. All oil and lubricants to be maintained as per the vehicle manufactures instructions
Ensure the vehicle is delivered in time to service provider according service and inspection schedule
Ensure Tachograph records are downloaded
Ensure that we fulfil all our legal obligations with regard to the following
Health & Safety & COSHH requirements
Environmental Protection Act
E U driver’s hours
Company administrative requirements (cash sale procedures & completion of delivery tickets etc)
Compliance with B.S.I requirements
House-Keeping / Maintenance
Carry out daily vehicle checks, identifying & reporting any potential problem, immediately.
Ensure that a good standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times though daily cleaning of the vehicle and all associated parts.
