A position has arisen for an Operative. You will operate mobile plant, including rigid and articulated dumpers and wheeled loaders, and assist with preventative mechanical maintenance and repairs to fixed crushing and screening plant. You may also be required to assist in general site maintenance.  You will work as part of a small team to ensure the safe operation and day to day running of sand and gravel quarry as a multiskilled operative.

Ability to drive a range of plant including loading shovel, excavator, Telehandler desirable however training can be provided. Applicants ideally, will have: Experience of quarry work or similar heavy process industry environment. Good knowledge of Risk Assessment and Safe System of Work procedures and the ability to challenge others to work safely.

You must also be able to demonstrate a good track record safety, health and environment.  A flexible approach to working hours will be required. A positive and proactive attitude to all aspects of Safety, Health and Environmental is essential. All applicants will be required to provide evidence that they have the right to live and work in the UK, as per the UK Illegal Working Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 at the interview stage.
