The apprentice development programme is an opportunity for the business to develop skills and knowledge for the future and to bring in fresh perspectives and ideas. At the same time enabling people to earn as they learn their trade and gain a recognised HNC Qualification.
We’re looking for one Electrical apprentice to develop the skills to maintain equipment and assets on our Cement Plant. We will be looking for candidates who are interested in how things work, who like thinking things through and coming up with practical solutions.
For this role, you will need to have a good level of academic qualification, and will have/expect to achieve five Nationals at level 4 or above including Maths, English and Technical subject.
The apprentice development programme will involve practical learning and studying for recognised qualifications. The first year of the Apprentice programme will be college based with the remaining 3 years applying the learning on the job and day release.
We will be looking for candidates with practical and technical aptitude and who can demonstrate an interest in engineering or technology and who are interested in a career in electrical. Equally importantly we will be looking for people whose attitudes and behaviours are in line with our Values. We need people who will always aim to exceed the expectations, who will take responsibility for achieving excellent results, will be open and honest and meet their commitments with a responsible approach to safety, the environment and our communities and will consistently co-operate and work with others to achieve objectives.
