What are we looking for?
The role of Quarry Supervisor holds a Reg 8.1(d) appointment. Duties include, but are not limited to, the safe operation of the unit, including inspections, reporting and resolving of defects in all areas of the quarry and Moreton on Lugg railhead, this includes the supervision of staff and contractors to ensure compliance to the manager's rules and Tarmac standards. It will also include the safe and efficient day to day operations of a variety of mobile and fixed plant as required.
What will I be responsible for?
Assist the Quarry Manager with daily running of the site.
Follow SHE policies and procedures
Good time keeping – Flexible as to the units requirements
Ensure plant conforms with safety requirements at all times
Good communication skills – bringing problems to the attention of line management and deal with issues as they arise
Health, safety & environmental responsibilities
Acting on defects and implement remedial action. Assist in the maintenance planning for the plant
Ensure that plant availability is maximised
Ensure that customer’s requirements are satisfied.
Involved with ordering / replacing stock materials.
Awareness of daily production / sales requirements
Team player – Link between hauliers, staff & customers, site team and Quarry Manager
