What are we looking for?
As with all Tarmac employees, we are looking for people who are enthusiastic, passionate about success and hold health and safety as their number one priority.
This role will have the primary responsibility for the asphalt hot storage site at Whiteinch, however we are looking for someone who has the ability to work with and actively support the rest of the team, which may include supporting the concrete production, which is also on site. It is key the successful person is comfortable challenging the status quo, especially in relation to Health and Safety and if it is ultimately of benefit to the business as a whole. We are looking for someone who has previous experience or understanding of asphalt production and possesses an element of technical knowledge.
What will I be responsible for?
You will specifically focus on managing all aspects of the daily operations of the site. This will include face to face contact with customers and ensuring the all activities comply with Tarmac standards, policies and procedures and legislative compliance. In this role there will be a significant amount of computerised duties so familiarity with a computer and ability to work with multiple systems would be advantageous.
The Site Supervisor will be solely responsible for the standards of the hot storage site and is responsible for raising any concerns unable to be dealt with at a local level, with the Production Manager.
