An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Support Manager to work with the Senior Technical Manager to deliver pavement design support to our Contracting and Materials businesses.
We would expect the successful candidate to be Chartered or in the very final stages of achieving Chartered status with at least 10 years experience in the pavement consultancy sphere. A desire to learn more about the range of construction materials produced by Tarmac is essential.
You would be confident and professional in outlook and should exhibit strong customer facing skills. You are expected to have significant experience in the assessment, analysis and design of pavements which includes in depth knowledge of DMRB / MCHW along with other design methods and standards.
In this role you would be required to interact with road owners (Local Highway Authorities, Highways England etc.) and Key Customers to provide pavement design and construction advice across the highway and industrial pavement sectors. This would require knowledge of new build and maintenance design methodologies as well as the assessment of existing pavements. Working closely with our Technical and Commercial teams, the ability to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members is essential.
This role also provides an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to apply a detailed understanding of pavement design whilst developing their knowledge of construction material properties and performance.
