An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planner to work within our Distribution Team in Scotland.

Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, this role will be expected to optimise all programs of work to maximising volume, whilst reacting in a timely fashion to any internal or external unplanned events. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and planning the distribution of materials and regional orders in the most cost effective manner whilst delivering optimal volumes. The job holder will also ensure high levels of vehicle utilisation and low levels of haulier issues to continually provide high levels of customer service and communication to both internal and external customers.

We would expect the successful candidate to be experienced transport planning and have an ability to think on your feet and have excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills as high level of accuracy and attention to detail are imperative to this role.
